Led by Sadyk Volodymyr, an engineer with over 20 years of experience, the vehicle was developed for the Ukrainian armed forces, inspired by the fast attack buggies of the United States Armed Forces.
Before the war with Russia, Volodymyr manufactured metal gates, but his interest in buggies led to the creation of the VOLS, which has been widely used by the Ukrainian Army during the conflict.
The VOLS is a lightweight, fast, and maneuverable buggy, ideal for quick insertion and extraction missions. Equipped with a 1.9-liter turbo diesel engine from Volkswagen, the vehicle can travel up to 500 kilometers on a 38-liter tank. Its bullet resistance to 7.62 mm rounds, combined with the ability to mount various types of armaments such as machine guns and grenade launchers, makes it extremely versatile and effective in guerrilla operations.
Since its development, about 60 units of the VOLS have been produced for the Ukrainian Army.
